LEGO Racing Adventure is a fun racing game where you drive full speed ahead to make it first past the finish line. It's not really too far off from other legendary Android racing games like Hot Wheels: Race Off and Hill Climb Racing. Once again, you control a set of different LEGO cars while doing your very best to keep your vehicle from falling apart as you go.
Controllers in LEGO Racing Adventures are fairly simple. All you actually have to focus on is accelerating and braking your car where necessary.
But, that's certainly not to say your real main mission is easily accomplished. Quite the opposite. Each phase involved is packed with a nearly endless series of hills and obstacles to swerve around, that pop up out of nowhere right when you think things are getting easy.
One thing is for sure. You won't be beating any of this game's levels if you can't finish with your LEGO car (at least partially) intact, a fairly full tank of gas, and a living health bar for your character. Oddly enough, this racing game is also particularly noteworthy within its genre thanks to the fact that as you play, you pick up new LEGO pieces that'll help you get even more new levels as well as new LEGO racing cars to play with as you unlock them.
The way you pick up new LEGO pieces is simple. You'll get a new one every time you finish a race, or complete any of the missions that pop up within your character's storyline. Plus, these quests also unlock new design maps that'll teach you how to start building new cars and other items to unlock.
Surprisingly, this game is trickier than you might expect. It's not uncommon for players to have to repeat a level several times, but with different objectives. For example, one time you might need to survive over a given number of meters, other times it might require you finish the race before a max time allotment.
There's a bunch of different cars ready for you to drive in the thrilling world of LEGO Racing Adventures. And, each of them is perfect for a specific type of mission, so keep that in mind to play strategically. All in all, this game is a really fun. Plus, it comes with some very slick, but frantic, 2.5D visuals -- throwing in a touch of flare to the already well-oiled genre of Android racing games.
